Obverse description Uncrowned effigy of Queen Wilhelmina facing left, with loosely waved hair swept back from the face, rendered in low relief in a restrained, naturalistic style by engraver Ludwig Oswald Wenckebach. The portrait is set within a plain circular field with no inner border. The circular legend reads 'WILHELMINA KONINGIN DER NEDERLANDEN' around the full periphery, separated at the base by a small dot, all in raised Latin lettering.

Reverse description The large denomination numeral '10' dominates the central field, with the word 'CENT' inscribed in bold raised capitals beneath it. The date '1948' is split across the field with '19' to the left and '48' to the right of the numeral. A stylised royal crown is depicted above the numeral, with orb and arched elements rendered in fine detail. Small mint marks flank the legend 'CENT' on either side at the lower field.
