Obverse description Draped and crowned effigy of Queen Victoria facing left, rendered in the Gothic style. The queen wears a small crown atop her veiled head, with her hair neatly arranged. The legend VICTORIA QUEEN runs along the upper periphery in Latin script. The portrait is executed in fine relief characteristic of mid-19th century Royal Mint engraving.
