备注

Japan issued a broad series of low-denomination military currency for occupied territories during the Pacific War, and this 10 sen note belongs to that program — designed for use across Southeast Asian and Pacific occupation zones rather than tied to a single territory. No issuing bank stands behind it; the Japanese government itself was the authority, which stripped local banking institutions of any intermediary role and made the notes instruments of direct economic control over occupied populations.

The series is relatively common in circulated grades. Survivors in genuinely uncirculated condition are less so, partly because these notes passed through hands in tropical climates hard on paper.
