Obverse description Crowned effigy of King George VI facing left, wearing the Imperial State Crown adorned with fleurs-de-lis and jewelled band, modelled by engraver Percy Metcalfe whose initials 'PM' appear on the neck truncation. The portrait is rendered in fine relief against a smooth field. The circular legend reads 'GEORGE VI KING AND EMPEROR OF INDIA' disposed around the effigy, with a raised beaded border encircling the entire design.

Reverse description The denomination '10' is prominently displayed in large, horizontally lined numerals at the centre of the field, with the word 'CENTS' inscribed beneath in uppercase letters. The design is enclosed within a ring of small raised pellets forming an inner border. The circular legend 'COMMISSIONERS OF CURRENCY MALAYA' runs along the upper periphery, while the date appears at the bottom flanked by decorative rosette ornaments. A fine beaded border frames the entire reverse.
