| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of King George V wearing an imperial crown, rendered in high-relief proof finish against a deeply mirrored field. The King is depicted with a short beard and dressed in robes, faithfully reproducing the original portrait by W.H.J. Blakemore used on Canadian coinage from 1912 to 1936. The circumferential legend reads GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: REX ET IND:IMP: in raised Latin characters, separated by small ornamental devices. The coin's proof finish creates a striking contrast between the frosted effigy and the polished field. |
