Obverse description Crowned and draped bust of King George V facing left, as modelled by Sir Edgar Bertram MacKennal, occupying the central field. The King is depicted wearing the Imperial State Crown and robes of state, with fine detail rendered in the uniform and collar. The Latin legend GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: REX ET IND: IMP: arcs around the periphery, reading from lower left to lower right. A fine toothed border frames the entire design.
