Obverse description The central round hole is flanked by two pairs of decorative scroll-like elephant tusks curving symmetrically around the perforation. Above the hole, a St. Edward's Crown is displayed in high relief, surmounting the central design. The denomination TEN CENTS appears in two lines below the hole, with the mintmark H visible at the bottom rim. The circular legend GEORGIVS V REX ET IND:IMP: runs around the periphery of the field, all within a beaded border.

Reverse description The central round hole is encircled by a pair of curved elephant tusks arranged symmetrically, their tips meeting below the perforation to form an arc, with a concentric inner ring framing the design. The numeral 10 appears prominently in the field above the hole. The circular legend EAST AFRICA & UGANDA PROTECTORATES runs around the upper periphery, while the date is inscribed at the base between two raised dots, all enclosed within a beaded border.
