Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, rendered as a mature portrait at approximately 37 years of age, wearing a tiara. The legend ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA arcs along the upper periphery, denoting her title by the Grace of God. The truncation of the bust is visible at the lower obverse field, and the portrait reflects the second modified effigy as engraved by Arnold Machin.
