The mature bust is draped and rendered with fine detail in the hair and tiara. | Beschrijving keerzijde | A traditional Maori tiki mask (koruru) occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with intricate koru spiral motifs, sinuous curvilinear patterns, and circular paua shell-style eye designs characteristic of Maori carving art. The denomination numeral 10 is prominently placed at the top of the field, flanked by decorative Maori scroll devices. The engraver's initials J B (for James Berry) appear in small letters at the lower centre, just below the mask. |
