| 表面の銘文 | ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA (Translation: Elizabeth II Queen by the grace of God) |
| 裏面の説明 | A finely detailed rendering of a Atlantic mackerel (Scomber scombrus) occupies the central field, depicted in profile facing left, its streamlined body and forked tail rendered in high relief against a mirror-proof background. A beaded inner border frames the design. The denomination legend '10 CENTS' arcs along the upper periphery, while 'CANADA' and the date '2020' are inscribed in two sections along the lower periphery, separated by a small space, all in a serif typeface consistent with the original 1967 centennial coinage design. |

The 1967 dime occupies a specific place in Canadian numismatic history: it was the last year the denomination was struck in 80% silver before the Royal Canadian Mint switched to nickel in 1968, a change driven by rising silver spot prices outpacing face value. This gold restrike, issued over fifty years later, reproduces that centennial-year design — 1967 marked Canadian Confederation's hundredth anniversary, prompting an entirely new coin series designed by wildlife artist Alex Colville.
Colville submitted his animal designs under a pseudonym to ensure the selection process remained blind.
