Obverse description The obverse features the coat of arms of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago displayed prominently in the center of the field, depicting a shield supported by two scarlet ibises and surmounted by a ship's helm and the national crown. Two hummingbirds and stylized waves appear as additional heraldic elements, with a scroll bearing the national motto at the base. The circular legend 'REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO' arcs around the upper portion of the coin, while the date appears in the lower exergue. The mint mark 'FM' for the Franklin Mint is incorporated into the design.
