正面描述 The denomination '10' appears in large numerals at the center of the field, with the word 'CENTS' inscribed below in smaller lettering. Two stalks of paddy frame the central denomination, curving inward from either side in a symmetrical arrangement. The date and the legend 'SINGAPORE' arc around the upper periphery of the coin, with the date positioned at the upper left and the country name continuing to the right.

附加信息

Singapore's first decimal coinage series — launched at independence in 1967 — was produced under contract by the British Royal Mint and the Singapore Mint before domestic production capacity was fully established. The series was designed to project a stable, modern monetary identity for a city-state that had been unceremoniously expelled from Malaysia just two years earlier. Monetary credibility was a political necessity, not merely an economic one.

Production of this type ran across 18 years with several mintage fluctuations tied directly to Singapore's rapid GDP growth and the corresponding surge in retail transaction volumes.
