The reverse displays the bold numeral '10' in large characters dominating the upper portion of the field, with the denomination legend CÉNTIMOS inscribed in a straight line below. Flanking the numeral on either side are two symmetrical decorative motifs derived from pre-Columbian Peruvian iconography, featuring stylised avian and geometric figures in a stepped-fret arrangement. Below the denomination, a horizontal band of repeating Andean step-fret ornament extends across the lower field, beneath which appears the Lima Mint monogram ('LIMA' rendered as a conjoined 'LA' monogram) at the very base. |
