| Obverse description | Printed typeset design on plain cardboard field, with the municipal authority and denomination arranged in three horizontal text lines. The upper legend reads 'AJUNTAMENT' (City Council in Catalan), flanked above and below by a solid pointing triangle ornament at top and bottom of the design respectively. Two pairs of parallel horizontal rules separate the central denomination line, which reads 'VAL 10 cts.' (worth 10 centimos), from the issuer line above and the locality name 'DE ROQUETES' below. The entire design is printed in dark blue ink, typical of the rudimentary emergency token production of the Spanish Civil War period. |
