Lloá is a tiny municipality in the Conca de Barberà comarca of Tarragona province — a settlement small enough that its 1937 emergency paper money exists in such limited quantities that even specialist Catalan Civil War scrip collections rarely hold an example. The Turró catalog documents hundreds of these municipal notes issued across Republican-held Catalonia, but the very smallest communes produced print runs that were effectively exhausted within weeks of issue.

Imprenta Josep Bassa in Mora d'Ebre printed for several neighboring councils during this period, which accounts for the typographic similarities collectors notice across multiple Turró references from this stretch of the Ebro valley.
