Opmerkingen

Guarromán is a small municipality in the province of Jaén, Andalusia, and like hundreds of Spanish towns it resorted to locally issued paper fractional notes during the acute small-change crisis of 1936–1937. The collapse of metallic coin circulation at the outbreak of the Civil War left municipal councils with little choice but to print or stamp their own emergency scrip — often on whatever paper was available, validated by an official ink stamp rather than any sophisticated security measure.

The Gari Mon reference places this firmly within the documented Andalusian municipal issues, though surviving examples from small Jaén pueblos are genuinely scarce, the print runs having been tiny and the notes largely consumed in daily use.
