| Obverse description | Square octagonal flan with a central circular raised field containing a stylized fleur-de-lis or civic emblem, surrounded by a ring of small dots forming an inner border. The legend VILLE DE THANN runs along the left edge and 1918 ALSACE FRANÇAISE along the upper and right edges, all reading around the periphery of the coin. The denomination 10 CES appears prominently in large raised numerals at the lower center of the field, below the central device. The overall design reflects the patriotic Alsatian civic spirit of the post-armistice period, with crisp lettering in Latin script throughout. |
