| Obverse description | Two symmetrical wheat sheaves rise from the lower field, flanking the central round hole, their stalks converging at the base in a stylized bouquet arrangement. The legend ETAT FRANÇAIS is inscribed in two lines across the upper field in bold incuse lettering. The engraver's mark A. DE G. appears in small characters at the lower left of the field. The design is austere and geometric, reflecting the wartime austerity aesthetic of the Vichy regime. No effigy or allegorical figure is present, the composition relying entirely on the agricultural motif and state inscription. |
