| Obverse description | Central field features the heraldic coat of arms of Péronne, comprising a quartered shield supported on either side by rampant lion supporters rendered in high relief. The shield is surmounted by a mural crown with three visible towers. A scrolled ribbon banner arching above bears the Latin legend VRBS NESCIA VINCI (meaning 'City that knows no defeat'). The engraver's name THEVENON appears vertically along the right inner rim, and the date 1922 is inscribed along the lower exergue. |
