正面描述	Left-facing bust of Marianne as an allegory of the French Republic, helmeted with a winged helmet adorned with a sprig of wheat and decorated with laurel branches, her flowing hair falling in waves onto her shoulder. She holds a further sprig of olive or laurel branches before her chest. The legend REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE encircles the effigy along the rim, rendered in raised Latin characters. The portrait is executed in a finely detailed, classical style characteristic of mid-19th century French medallic art, with strong relief and crisp engraving attributed to F. Malbet.

背面描述	Central field bears the denomination DIX / CENTIMES and the date 1849 in three lines of raised lettering, enclosed within a finely wrought laurel and oak wreath tied at the base with a ribbon. The Republican motto LIBERTE, EGALITE, FRATERNITE is distributed around the wreath, flanking and surmounting it along the inner rim. The overall design is restrained and emblematic, consistent with essai coinage of the Second Republic period, with a toothed inner border framing the composition.
