| Beschrijving voorzijde | Left-facing draped bust of Marianne, her flowing hair adorned with a wreath composed of olive branches and ears of corn and oak leaves. A swallow is depicted to the left of the bust and a level (symbol of equality) to the right, with clasped hands below, all emblematic of Republican virtues. The engraver's signature 'E. FAROCHON' appears in the lower field beneath the truncation.
