| 正面描述 | The obverse carries the bold header inscription 'République Septentrionale d'Haïti' across the upper portion, with a vignette of the Haitian national coat of arms at the left. A serial number in red is printed below the series designation, accompanied by a dense block of text in French detailing the guarantee and redemption conditions of the note, with three signature lines at the foot for the Délégué des Finances, Délégué du Syndicat, and Délégué du Conseil d'État. A guilloche-patterned border frames the entire face. |

| 备注 |
The République Septentrionale d'Haïti was the short-lived northern state that emerged from Haiti's 1867–1888 partition, when the north broke away under Florvil Hyppolite's eventual consolidation of power. This note dates to the final year of that division — Hyppolite reunified the country in late 1888 after defeating the southern government, making issues from the northern republic's closing months genuinely terminal pieces of a defunct authority.
Low-denomination paper from provincial Haitian issuers of this period suffered severe attrition in the humid Caribbean climate. Survivors at any grade are uncommon.
