| Reverse description | Central field bears the denomination expressed in two scripts: the numeral '10' in Khmer characters at the top, followed by the Khmer word for centimes, and below it '10 Cent.' in Latin numerals and lettering. These numerals are enclosed within an open wreath of laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The legend 'ROYAUME DU CAMBODGE' arcs along the upper periphery in Latin capitals, with the date '1953' appearing in the lower exergual area below the wreath, all within a beaded border. |

Cambodia's 1953 coinage was issued in the final months before full independence from France, formally recognized in November of that year. The pieces were struck at the Paris Mint under arrangements that still carried the institutional fingerprints of the French Union — the fleur de coin privy marks on these coins confirm Parisian production despite the Cambodian royal authority nominally behind the issue.
