| Obverse description | Central device consisting of two ornate interlaced script letters 'L' forming a saltire (crossed monogram), surmounted by a grand ducal crown. A small decorative rosette or mint mark appears at the bottom of the field. The coin is without legend (anepigraphic). The milled border runs along the entire rim. The design is rendered in low relief on a plain field, characteristic of wartime zinc essai coinage. |
