| Obverse description | Central device consists of an interlaced crowned royal cipher composed of the conjoined letters 'H' and 'N', standing for Hieronymus Napoléon, surmounted by a royal crown. The cipher is rendered in bold relief within a plain inner circle, surrounded by a wreath of laurel or oak branches encircling the entire design.
