| Obverse description | Left-facing draped bust of Marianne, the allegorical personification of the French Republic, her flowing wavy hair adorned with a wreath of wheat ears, oak leaves, and a cluster of fruit, with a pendant earring visible at the ear. A five-pointed star appears in the upper field to the right of the effigy. The legend REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE arcs along the left and right periphery respectively, and the engraver's signature DOMARD is incused at the base of the bust. The coin is bordered by a continuous beaded rim. |
