Flanking the hole, the monogram 'RF' (République Française) is rendered in bold relief, with the letters positioned on either side of the perforation. The monogram is encircled by a wreath of oak and laurel branches tied at the base, forming an elegant decorative border. A small pellet or bead appears above the hole at the top of the design. The entire composition reflects Lindauer's refined Art Nouveau-influenced style, characteristic of his designs for the Third Republic. |
