Reverse description Allegorical scene depicting two seated female figures flanking a central fasces or civic emblem, set around the central circular perforation, in the Art Nouveau tradition characteristic of Dupuis. The peripheral legend LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE arcs around the upper portion of the coin. The denomination 10c and the word ESSAI appear in the lower field, with the year of issue inscribed along the lower rim. The overall composition is richly modeled with flowing drapery and classical references.
