A finely detailed sea-serpent or dragon-like creature curves around the right and lower portion of the numeral, its scaled body, feathered crest, and flowing tail executed with considerable decorative artistry characteristic of Thévenon's token designs. The denomination suffix c appears to the upper right of the numeral. The maker's name THEVENON and place of manufacture PARIS are inscribed in small letters along the lower left and lower right of the field respectively. |
