| Reverse description | The reverse features a bare-headed, left-facing portrait bust of President Fabre Geffrard in high relief, with short wavy hair and a plain truncation, set against a smooth field enclosed by a beaded inner circle. The curved legend GEFRARD PRÉSIDENT arcs around the upper periphery. The date 1863 is prominently displayed along the lower periphery, flanked by two five-pointed stars, with the mint name HEATON inscribed in small letters below the bust truncation at the base of the beaded circle. The coin is finished with an outer beaded rim consistent with Heaton and Sons' characteristic minting style. |
