Obverse description Allegorical effigy of the Republic, modelled after Marianne, facing right with hair loosely arranged, the engraver's name MORLON incuse behind the neck truncation. A circular legend around the periphery reads the country name and date, separating obverse field from the beaded border. The portrait is rendered in the French medallic tradition characteristic of Morlon's work for Latin American republics.
