| Obverse description | The coat of arms of the Republic of San Marino occupies the central field, depicting the three towers of Mount Titano surmounted by ostrich plumes, set upon a quartered shield and enclosed by an ornamental cartouche bearing the incuse inscription LIBERTAS, the national motto. The shield is flanked by a wreath composed of an olive branch and an oak branch, symbolizing peace and strength respectively. A civic crown appears at the apex of the composition, denoting the sovereignty of the republic. The engraver's name GORI appears below the shield. The circular legend REPUBBLICA DI S.
