Obverse description The Bolivian national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting an oval shield surmounted by a condor with spread wings, flanked by crossed cannon barrels and Bolivian flags on the left and crossed fasces and laurel branches on the right. The shield displays a sun rising over a mountain landscape with an alpaca in the foreground. Nine five-pointed stars are arranged in an arc below the coat of arms. The curved legend REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA runs along the upper periphery, and the design is framed by a beaded border.
