Obverse description The Bolivian national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting an oval shield bearing a rising sun over a mountain range, flanked by two llamas and surmounted by a condor with spread wings perched atop the crest. The shield is further adorned with crossed cannons, flags, and branches of laurel and palm. A row of nine five-pointed stars arcs along the lower border of the coin. The curved legend REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA runs along the left and right periphery, with a fine beaded border encircling the entire design.
