| 正面描述 | Central device features a row of five volcanoes rising from the sea beneath a radiant sun, a design emblematic of the Central American republics. The patriotic motto EN DIOS CONFIAMOS arcs along the upper legend, while the denomination 10 CENTAVOS DE CORDOBA is inscribed along the lower periphery. The composition and execution are consistent with a trial or pattern strike intended to test the reverse die pairing. |

Trial pieces for the 1912 Nicaraguan coinage were produced in aluminium to test die alignment and relief before committing to the intended silver production run. The KM#Ts2 designation places this among a small group of documented trials from that series, struck almost certainly in Philadelphia, where the American Bank Note Company's affiliated minting operations handled Nicaraguan coinage production during this period.
Aluminium trials rarely left the mint in any quantity.
