Obverse description Left-facing draped bust of Benito Juárez occupying the central field, with the date 1915 inscribed below flanked by two small stars. The circular legend ESTADO L. Y S. DE OAXACA runs along the periphery, rendered in raised Latin letters. The portrait is rendered in a somewhat crude, low-relief style consistent with the provisional emergency coinage of the period.

Reverse description Large numeral 10 dominates the central field, with the word CENTAVOS inscribed below in a curved legend. The circular legend MONEDA PROVISIONAL runs along the upper periphery. Two olive or laurel sprigs flank the lower portion of the design, framing the denomination. The overall design is characteristic of the roughly struck provisional coinage issued during the Mexican Revolution.
