| 正面铭文 | CAMARA MUNICIPAL DE PORTIMÃO VALE 10 CENTAVOS O TESOUREIRO O PRESIDENTE (Translation: Portimão City Hall / Worth 10 centavos / The Treasurer / The President) |
| 背面描述 | Printed in dark green on white paper, the reverse is dominated by a large oval vignette of Praia da Rocha, the celebrated beach resort near Portimão, rendered in fine line engraving with dramatic rock formations in the foreground, a sandy cove with bathers, and clifftop buildings visible in the background. The inscription PRAIA DA ROCHA arches across the upper portion of the oval in an Art Nouveau typeface, beneath the header panel CAMARA MUNICIPAL DE PORTIMÃO. The lower margin carries a faint letterpress imprint reading PORTIMÃO, and the corners repeat the same decorative scroll ornaments found on the obverse. |

| 备注 |
Portimão's municipal chamber issued small-denomination cédulas like this one during the currency shortages that plagued Portugal following World War One, when a collapse in coin production left provincial towns effectively unable to conduct ordinary retail trade. Local governments across the country were authorized — sometimes loosely — to print their own fractional emergency notes, resulting in hundreds of distinct local issues between roughly 1917 and 1922.
Provincial printing quality varied sharply, and Portimão's issues were produced locally rather than by one of the Lisbon commercial printers, which shows.
