| 背面描述 | The reverse displays the large numeral '10' in prominent raised figures occupying the upper central field, rendered in a bold, modern typeface with an incised oval outline framing the digit. Below the numeral, the legend 'DIEZ CENTAVOS' is inscribed in evenly spaced capital letters across the lower field. The design is stark and functional, with a plain flat field and no additional ornamentation, emphasizing clarity of denomination for use in tourist transactions. |

Cuba's INTUR coinage was a parallel currency system allowing the state to capture hard currency from foreign tourists while keeping peso-denominated goods inaccessible to them — and vice versa. These aluminum pieces circulated exclusively within tourist facilities: hotels, dollar shops, and Cubatur-managed resorts. The 1988 date places this issue in the late Special Period run-up, just before Soviet subsidies collapsed and the entire dual-currency apparatus was forced into a far more aggressive redesign.
