The central vignette presents the Nicaraguan coat of arms — an equilateral triangle enclosing five volcanic peaks rising from the sea beneath a rainbow and a Liberty cap — rendered in fine line engraving. Flanking the central arms are two large mirror-image guilloche rosettes each bearing the numeral '10', set within an elaborate engine-turned border.
