| Reverse description | Printed in red-brown, the reverse centres on an intaglio vignette of the Arco da Rua Augusta and the surrounding Praça do Comércio in Lisbon, framed within an ornate engraved border with acanthus-scroll corners. Guilloche roundels bearing the numeral '10' flank the central vignette on either side, and the monogram 'R·P' appears at the top centre. The inscription 'ARCO DA RUA AUGUSTA' is set within a decorative panel below the central scene, with the printer's imprint 'WATERLOW & SONS LTD LONDRES' at the base. |
