An ornate architectural frame with flanking pilasters and scrollwork supports a large arched ribbon banner inscribed with the district name, within which the municipal coat of arms — crowned and bearing a fish and a castle with tree — is placed at centre. Two facsimile signatures appear below the arms, attributed to the Treasurer and the President of the Municipal Commission respectively, with their titles printed above. The denomination "VALE 10 Cent.vos" is set in a cartouche along the lower margin. Printer's imprints "RLONSO" and "H. GRIS & Cª LISBOA" appear at the lower left and right corners. |
