Obverse description The Bolivian national coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring an oval cartouche enclosing the Cerro Rico mountain above a llama and breadfruit tree, surmounted by the rising sun and flanked by two crossed Bolivian flags and two crossed cannons with muskets at the sides. A condor with spread wings crowns the shield, while laurel and olive branches frame the composition below. A single five-pointed star appears at the base of the design. The circumferential legend REPUBLICA DE BOLIVIA runs along the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, with a dentilated border encircling the entire obverse.
