| Obverse description | Three-dimensional sculptural representation of the iconic US Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima Memorial), depicting six helmeted Marines in full combat gear straining in unison to raise a flagpole atop a craggy rocky outcrop. The American flag, rendered in applied colour with red, white, and blue enamel, flies from the pole above the figures. The composition faithfully reproduces Felix de Weldon's celebrated bronze monument, capturing the dynamic tension and camaraderie of the figures in high relief. The legend '2 oz Ag 999' appears at lower left and '10 CEDIS 2026' at lower right, with 'REPUBLIC OF GHANA' inscribed along the base in bold Latin lettering. |
