The central solar orb is rendered as a concave disc, surrounded by radiating points and an etched starfield incorporating comet trajectories and constellation lines. Encircling the solar motif are eight medallions, each bearing a classical astronomical or alchemical planetary symbol representing Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, the Moon, Earth, Mercury, Venus, and Uranus or Neptune. The Mars medallion, positioned at upper left, is distinguished by an inset amber-colored resin gemstone, identifying it as the thematic subject of this issue.
