Beschrijving keerzijde A dynamic high-relief composition depicts a large eagle with wings fully spread, shown in dramatic downward flight as it dominates smaller ravens below. The meticulously engraved featherwork of the eagle fills the majority of the field, rendered with exceptional sculptural depth against a textured rocky and atmospheric background. Two ravens are shown beneath the eagle, one in mid-air confrontation and one perched on a rocky outcrop, conveying a powerful allegorical narrative of supremacy and aspiration. The curved legend RISE TO YOUR HEIGHTS is inscribed along the right rim.

Aanvullende informatie

Ghana's "Eagle and Raven" issue is part of a broader collaborative bullion series pairing African mints and issuing authorities with Nordic iconography — an unusual commercial arrangement that has little to do with Ghanaian monetary history and everything to do with the international collector bullion market. The Bank of Ghana has increasingly authorized such struck-to-order programs since the late 2010s, lending its legal tender framework to coins that will never circulate domestically.

The raven imagery draws from Norse mythological tradition, specifically Odin's paired ravens Huginn and Muninn. The 2 troy oz format was chosen to compete directly with similar high-premium wildlife bullion from the Perth and Royal Canadian mints.
