Ghana's "Biblical Stories" bullion series launched in 2021 as part of a broader wave of African sovereign mints and central banks licensing themed silver issues to European distribution firms — in Ghana's case, primarily through the Bavarian State Mint in Munich, which has handled production. The David and Goliath release is the second entry in that series.
The 2 troy oz format places it squarely in the collector-bullion crossover market that emerged after the success of similar licensed programs from Cameroon and Congo in the mid-2010s.
