Obverse description Central field bears four large Chinese ideograms arranged vertically reading top to bottom, right to left, flanked by Manchu script above. A circular legend of Chinese ideograms surrounds the central inscription, denoting the denomination, issuing authority, and regnal title of the Xuantong Emperor. The overall design is executed in a formal, regular script (kaishu) typical of late Qing imperial coinage.
