| Reverse description | Cast reverse displaying a central square perforation flanked by a four-character denomination and mint inscription arranged in cruciform layout. The Manchu mint name ᠪᠣᠣ ᠵᡳᠨ (Boo-jin) appears to the left and right of the central hole, while the Chinese characters 當 (dang, meaning 'equivalent to') above and 十 (shi, meaning 'ten') below indicate the denomination of ten cash. Characters are rendered in raised relief in a plain field with a simple raised outer border, consistent with Board of Revenue Mint casting practice of the Xianfeng period. |
