| Obverse description | Central field bears the four-character legend 中華民國 (Republic of China) arranged in cruciform reading order within a beaded inner circle. Surrounding the inner circle, the outer legend reads 新省喀造 (Made in Kashgar, Sinkiang Province) at the top and 當十錢文 (Each piece worth 10 Cash) at the bottom, with the cyclical date 戊辰 (Year 1928) flanking the sides. The inscription is rendered in bold relief Chinese characters with a plain flat field. The overall design is utilitarian, consistent with provincial copper cash issues of the Republican era. |
