| Reverse description | A large twelve-rayed sun occupies the entire reverse field, with each ray rendered in outline style rather than solid relief. At the centre of the sun disc, two large Chinese ideograms reading 銅元 (Copper Coin) are displayed vertically within a recessed circular field. The outlined rays radiate symmetrically from the central disc to the toothed border, giving the design a bold, graphic quality characteristic of Sinkiang provincial coinage of this period. |
